Back up before the old device is gone
Create the backup while you can still open Manga Mochi on the original phone. Open Profile, choose the manual backup action and keep the copied backup text somewhere private that you control.
What the backup is for
The current backup flow carries supported local reader settings such as Library bookmarks, recent reading, saved page progress and preferences. It is designed to rebuild your reading setup. Downloaded chapter files are separate device files and should not be assumed to travel inside the backup.
Treat backup text as private. It can describe your local library and reading history. Do not paste it into public chats, support forms or posts.
Restore on the destination device
- Install Manga Mochi from Google Play on the new Android device.
- Copy the saved backup text to the device clipboard.
- Open Profile and choose Restore backup.
- Return to Library and Home to review bookmarks and recent reading.
- Open an available chapter to confirm its saved page position.
Check the result before deleting anything
A successful restore does not prove every third-party chapter is still available. Sources can change or remove titles. Verify the Library, recent reading and the chapters you care about while the original device and backup copy still exist.
Make a fresh backup after important changes
Create a new copy after adding important bookmarks or changing your reading setup. Manga Mochi does not silently sync this data to a cloud account, so the newest manual copy is the recovery point you control.
